The 3-2 Los Angeles Rams host the unbeaten San Francisco 49ers in Week 6, and they have a question at a key spot. Running back Todd Gurley has a thigh contusion in his left quad and sat out Wednesday’s practice, according to Rams beat writer Lindsey Thiry. Head coach Sean McVay said Gurley is day-to-day with the injury.
Gurley played 93 percent of the Rams snaps last Thursday against the Seahawks. He rushed 15 times for 51 yards and two touchdowns and added three receptions for six yards. If he were unable to go, Malcolm Brown would get the start. If Gurley goes but is not 100 percent, we could see a little more of Brown than in recent weeks — he played three snaps last week.
Fantasy football analysis, Rams RBs Todd Gurley, Malcolm Brown
The Rams a tough run defense in Week 6. The 49ers rank fifth in rush defense efficiency and have given up the fewest fantasy points to running backs this season. The Rams starter is worth playing, whether it’s Gurley or Brown. If Gurley is active, Brown is not worth a start in your fantasy leagues.
