The Jacksonville Jaguars host the New Orleans Saints in Week 6, and they have some unexpected news on their injury report. Quarterback Gardner Minshew was added to the report on Thursday with a groin injury. He did now show up on the Wednesday report and was listed as limited on their Thursday report. He was listed as limited all last week with a knee injury, but was removed from the final injury report.
Fantasy football analysis, Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew
We never want to see someone on the injury report, but the fact that Minshew was listed as limited and not a DNP bodes well for his prospects of playing in Week 6. He is coming off a career-high 374 yards passing, and has not thrown an interception since his debut in Week 1. He has 1,279 yards and nine touchdowns to go along with the one interception.
The Saints defense has been awful against opposing quarterbacks. They rank 20th in pass defense efficiency, but are third worst in fantasy points allowed to the position. If Minshew is active on Sunday, he’s a strong start this weekend.
