Best lineup strategy for Week 6 DFS features Le’Veon Bell, Stefon Diggs, Marquise Goodwin

Week 6 of the 2019 NFL season is upon us. We’ve got a host of bounce-back candidates in our look at the best DFS options to consider for the weekend.

Week 6 is the first week where we are really going to miss the teams on bye. With only 10 games on the Featured contest the player pool is smaller and we fantasy players have to adjust. Here are few players to consider as you build your Week 6 lineups.

Bounce Back

Stefon Diggs made headlines with complaints about his usage in Week 5. Diggs started hot, but his teammate, Adam Thielen, ended up with the much better day. Minnesota plays the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6 and if Philly can shut down the Vikings run game it could mean more passing attempts for Kurt Cousins. Maybe Stefon Diggs ($5,900) time to shine comes a week late in what could be a high scoring contest. If you’ve been burned by Diggs too often you can find a bit of gold further down the list. Marquise Goodwin ($4,500) seems to be Jimmy Garoppolo’s most trusted receiver and they should need to throw the ball more in Week 6 when they face the Los Angeles Rams.

FLEX Responsibly

The FLEX spot is a great opportunity to add some balance to your lineup. If you think your wide receivers are too risky then use the spot for a reliable running back who should get a steady diet of touches. One running back that fits the bill this week is Carlos Hyde ($4,400) who has at least 19 touches in his last two games. The worry is that the Kansas City Chiefs outscore the Texans early and Duke Johnson Jr. ($4,100) becomes the focus, but Hyde should retain all the goal line work on a red-hot offense.

That Darn Mono

Sam Darnold ($5,100) is healthy and set to make his return. The New York Jets play the Dallas Cowboys this week who have been pretty tough against opposing quarterbacks, but 4 of the 5 quarterbacks were Teddy Bridgewater, Eli Manning, Josh Rosen and Case Keenum. That doesn’t mean you should ignore the other options that could benefit from Darnold’s return. With Le’Veon Bell ($6,400) at his disposal, Darnold could keep the chains moving while increasing opportunities for long shot plays like wide receivers Robby Anderson ($4,000) and Jamison Crowder ($4,000) if you need cheap tournament options.

Jets Defense

Finally, I have to highlight the New York Jets DST which is only $1,500 this week playing the Dallas Cowboys at home. That is incredibly cheap especially given Dak Prescott’s performance last week. Tread lightly.
