The 49ers are coming off of a route of the Cleveland Browns, as they have extended their record to 4-0, and have the league’s second best point differential at +70 despite playing one less game than everyone else in the top half of the league. They will have their toughest test yet in Week 6, going on the road to face the division-rival Rams. The NFC West should be one of the more tightly-contested divisions in the league between San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Seattle. Every game matters a great deal, as whoever wins the most games within the division is most likely to take it down. The 49ers are second in yards allowed per game, and fourth in yards gained per game. They are running for 200 yards per contest.

The Rams have hit a lull to close the first portion of the season, giving up 55 points at home to the Bucs, and losing at Seattle due to a last-second missed field goal. L.A. has really struggled to defend the pass in both of those games, a stark contrast from how they were playing to open up the year. Of course, those passing games are also very strong. San Francisco has not had to throw a ton this year due to their leads, but they are still averaging 8.0 yards per attempt, seventh-best in the NFL. Seeing the Rams struggle here would certainly not be a surprise. With that said, the Rams are seventh-best in rush defense by yards per carry, so they could stymie this red-hot Niner run game.
