Worst WR DFS plays for Week 6 include Tyler Lockett, Robert Woods

It’s actually a great week for wide receiver matchups, but beware Tyler Lockett, Alshon Jeffery and Robert Woods

Entering Week 6 of the season, it is more imperative than ever to avoid putting anyone in your lineup that posts a lemon. There are some wide receivers this week that look like great plays because of value, so whiffing on higher-priced receiver is a real no-no. Here are the wide receivers to avoid in DFS this week. Salaries via DraftKings.

Tyler Lockett, Seattle Seahawks at Cleveland Browns ($6,400)

It says something about the terrific matchups for every receiver above $6K this week that we would even include a stud like Lockett on this list. But there is a factor to keep in mind here. The Seahawks will be without their starting left tackle against a defensive line that can create big problems for Russell Wilson. That doesn’t mean Lockett is getting shut down, but he might not pop the way some of the other receivers in his price range will.

Alshon Jeffery, Philadelphia Eagles at Minnesota Vikings ($5,800)

Since his Week 1 breakout, Jeffery has been banged up and fairly ineffective, scoring 23 DK points combined the past two weeks. Facing the Vikings secondary doesn’t figure to facilitate a renaissance. This might be a good week to avoid the Eagles passing game altogether, save perhaps Zack Ertz.

Robert Woods, Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers ($5,600)

The 49ers are playing at a very high level on defense and Woods has only had one game in double-figures, fantasy-wise, over his past four. It’s the Cooper Kupp show, and with Brandin Cooks not a sure thing this week, the 49ers will be more than happy to take Woods out of the picture.
