Marquise Brown injury status update 9:14 a.m.
Ravens wide receiver Marquise Brown is not expected to play on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport. Brown injured his ankle in last week’s overtime win against the Steelers. He did not practice this week, and while listed as questionable, this seemed the obvious end result. Willie Snead is the big gainer in this situation as he should see an up-tick in targets.
The Baltimore Ravens head into Week 6 with a question about one of Lamar Jackson’s big playmakers. Wide receiver Marquise Brown is listed on the final injury report as questionable due to an ankle injury suffered last Sunday. Brown sat out practice all three days this week, and seems unlikely to be available on Sunday.
Brown has seen his numbers decline in recent weeks after a strong start. Although he had a touchdown last week, he only had three receptions for 22 yards. The previous week he had four receptions for 22 yards, and the week prior to that he had two receptions for 49 yards. Willie Snead has taken on more work as Brown has struggled.
Fantasy football analysis, Ravens WRs Marquise Brown, Willie Snead
If Brown does play, he is a flex play at best right now. Snead is not much more, but is getting some looks. He had four receptions for 51 yards last week, two for 61 and a touchdown the week before, and three for 47 in Week 3. These are not great numbers, but if bye weeks or injuries leave you desperate, there are worse plays to consider. And considering this Bengals defense is no good, there is some upside with your Ravens fantasy options in Week 6.
