Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Brandin Cooks is expected to play this week when the team hosts its divisional rivals, the San Francisco 49ers in the late afternoon slot on Sunday.

Cooks was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but he got a full set of reps in on Friday. The team did not list him on the final Friday injury report, clearing the way for his return after suffering a concussion last week against the Seahawks.

The Rams need Cooks back in the lineup for this game. Last week’s loss to Seattle put them in a hole in the NFC West race, and any limitations to their offense this week puts them at risk of falling in a deeper hole in the division.

Cooks has 325 yards and a touchdown so far this season. He has yet to miss a game, though he was forced to leave early last week.

It’s a tough matchup for the Rams, who have now lost their last two. The 49ers have a top 10 pass defense. However, the Rams have a lot of weapons at their disposal. Cooper Kupp, the team’s leading receiver, is likely to draw the most attention, which means Cooks and Robert Woods could get more balls thrown their way.
