How to handle Emmanuel Sanders, Courtland Sutton injuries in Week 6 fantasy football

Despite injury concerns earlier in the week, Sanders and Sutton appear to be on track to play this Sunday.

The Denver Broncos haven’t had much to celebrate this season at 1-4, but at least they’ve had a pair of productive wide receiver in Emmanuel Sanders and Courtland Sutton. There was some cause for concern earlier in the week as both players were limited in Wednesday’s practice — Sanders with a knee injury and Sutton with a lower leg issue. However, both were back in full action by the end of the week, and they’ll be in uniform on Sunday afternoon.

Sutton was Joe Flacco’s favorite target last week, catching four of seven targets for 92 yards and a touchdown, Denver’s only receiving score, in the Broncos’ first win of the season. Sanders was targeted just once for a 9-yard gain, just one week after a 104-yard performance.

There is nothing special about Denver’s passing game. However, Sutton has quietly emerged as a top-10 receiver. He leads the team in yards (401), catches (26), and receiving touchdowns (3). And even at 32, Sanders is no slouch either. Despite two down weeks this season, he’s been productive overall, totaling double-digit fantasy points in three games this year.

The Titans present a tougher challenge for the Broncos than the Chargers did last week. That said, Sutton’s become a must-start No. 2 receiver for fantasy owners, and Sanders isn’t a bad option for a third spot in your lineups. Sutton will set you back $5,000 in DK leagues this week, which is not a bad deal. Sanders comes in at $4,800.
