The Detroit Lions are hoping to get back a developing weapon for their offense in Week 6 when they travel to face the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football. Rookie tight end T.J. Hockenson is on track to be cleared through the concussion protocol and be fully cleared for the game.

Hockenson suffered the concussion in Week 4, and after a Week 5 bye returned to practice. He was a limited participant in practice on Thursday, but a full participant on Friday and Saturday. If he does not experience concussion symptoms on Sunday or Monday before the game, he would likely play Monday evening.

It’s been an up-and-down rookie season for Hockenson. He had a record-setting debut with six receptions for 131 yards and a touchdown. In Weeks 2 and 3, he had two receptions for eight yards. In Week 4 before his concussion, he had three receptions for 27 yards and a touchdown.

Fantasy football analysis, Lions TE T.J. Hockenson

The Packers have given up the seventh fewest fantasy points to tight ends. Add in the game-day decision nature of this, and even though I expect Hockenson to play, it’s a roll of the dice with this matchup. The tight end position is incredibly shallow, so you might be stuck rolling with Hockenson.
