The Kansas City Chiefs announced their final injury report for Week 7 Thursday Night Football against the Denver Broncos, and they will be without wide receiver Sammy Watkins. The Chiefs officially ruled him out after three days of limited in practice.
Watkins injured his hamstring in the first quarter of the Chiefs Week 5 matchup with the Colts. He did not practice in Week 6 and was listed as doubtful for that game against the Texans.
Fantasy football analysis, Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins
The Chiefs welcomed back Tyreek Hill last week and he was their leading receiver with 80 yards against Houston. Mecole Hardman had four receptions for 45 yards and Byron Pringle had two receptions for 24 yards. Demarcus Robinson was targeted four times but failed to catch a pass.
It’s a toss-up which of the three receivers will emerge behind Hill. And if the Broncos defense gives the Chiefs trouble, it might be none of them. Hill and tight end Travis Kelce are must-starts in traditional fantasy leagues. After that, you have to judge your own depth. Robinson has more targets than Hardman and Pringle, but Hardman has been the most consistent week over week. I’d probably rank them Hardman, Robinson, Pringle.
