Best quarterback DFS for Week 7

When building your DFS lineups this week, these are the quarterbacks you should hav in them.

You can’t have a winning daily fantasy lineup without a winning quarterback. It’s literally impossible. While other positions you have two or three to help counterbalance your mistake, you only have one quarterback position to either nail or fail on.

When you’re making your DFS lineup this weekend, here are the three quarterbacks you should be picking between. (Salaries via DraftKings.)

Kyler Murray (@ Giants) - $6,700

Murray has been slowly improving throughout his rookie season. Over the last three weeks his total DraftKings’ points have increased, ultimately paying out in a big 31.8 point performance against the Falcons. While Murray is not facing the Falcons this week, he is facing the next best thing: a Giants pass defense that’s allowing the fifth most points to quarterbacks this year. They’ve also allowed the second most rushing touchdowns to the position, a nice benefit to Murray who’s seen his workload in the running game increase in the last couple of weeks. He’s the third most expensive quarterback this week but I’m sure he’ll more than live up to his price tag.

Jared Goff (@ Falcons) - $6,200

It’s well known just how bad the Falcons’ defense is at containing opposing quarterbacks. They’re averaging 24.5 points to opposing quarterbacks this season and have given up three plus touchdowns to the last three quarterbacks they’ve faced. Goff has been struggling so far this season but I’m certain he’ll get back on track this weekend with such a favorable matchup. I would be shocked if Goff and Sean McVay’s offense wasn’t able to put at least three passing touchdowns on the board this weekend.

Gardner Minshew (@ Bengals) - $5,400

Let’s be honest, the Bengals have nothing to play for. They’ve shown that this season allowing the third most fantasy points to quarterbacks over the last four weeks. Minshew is coming off his worst performance of the year last week, scoring only 5.6 points on DraftKings against the Saints. I’m certain he and the entire Jaguars’ passing attack will get back on tack verses a haphazard Bengals secondary that’s missing their top corners. If you’re looking for a matchup to stack, I’d highly recommend stacking Minshew and wide receiver DJ Chark who’s proven to be his go-to guy this season.
