Worst quarterback DFS plays for Week 7

Don’t include these quarterbacks when making your daily fantasy lineups this week.

You can’t have a winning daily fantasy lineup without a winning quarterback. It’s literally impossible. While other positions you have two or three to help counterbalance your mistakeS, you only have one quarterback position to either nail or fail on.

When you’re making your DFS lineup this weekend, here are the three quarterbacks you want to be avoiding at all costs. (Salaries via DraftKings.)

Tom Brady (@ Jets) - $6,600

I’m a Patriots fan so I can tell you will assurance that Brady just does not play the Jets well on the road. It doesn’t help when he’s facing a Jets defense that’s allowed only five passing touchdowns this year, fourth best in the NFL. Brady also hasn’t been his greatest self the last three games, throwing an interception in each of them. I don’t think this game will be truly close, but Brady isn’t worth his price tag this week, as he’s the fourth most expensive quarterback in the Sunday-Monday slate. You’re salary budget can be much better spent elsewhere.

Aaron Rodgers (vs Raiders) - $6,400

We’ve seen flashes of the old Rodgers so far this season but we have yet to see a full game of the Rodgers that throws for 400 yards and four plus touchdowns. That Rodgers sadly isn’t going to show himself this week against a Raiders secondary that’s allowing the ninth fewest passing yards this season. With a banged up receiving core, you’re relying on Rodgers having a God-like performance Sunday to get you fantasy points which is something I’m not sure I’m willing to risk. Rodgers hasn’t been scoring touchdowns at the rate we’re used to and unless he suddenly finds the end zone with some regularity Sunday, I don’t expect him to have a big fantasy output this week.

Carson Wentz (@ Cowboys) - $6,000

I’m all for a divisional showdown between the Eagles and Cowboys, but I’m not expecting too many fireworks from Wentz. Say what you want about the Cowboys’ defense recently, they’ve still only allowed two passing touchdowns in the last four weeks, second best in the league. With players like Jimmy Garoppolo vs Washington or Gardner Minshew vs the Bengals costing you significantly less money this week, I won’t pay for Wentz in a bad matchup.
