The Los Angeles Chargers can’t stay healthy, and the situation is only getting worse. The team announced on Wednesday that wide receiver Dontrelle Inman is headed to injured reserve with a quadricep injury. Inman suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of the team’s Week 4 win over the Miami Dolphins. He led the team with five receptions on seven targets for 76 yards at the time of his injury.

His move to the IR list leaves the Chargers with Keenan Allen, Geremy Davis, and Andre Patton as their only healthy wide receivers. Mike Williams (back) and Travis Benjamin (hip) did not play in Week 4 and their status for Week 5 is uncertain.

Fantasy analysis of Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Dontrelle Inman

The Chargers have been the walking wounded for years now, and somehow it seems to be getting worse. They travel to face the Denver Broncos in Week 5. Denver’s defense has struggled to get going, and while they finally broke through in the sack column last week, they also lost pass rusher Bradley Chubb to a torn ACL.

Even with a diminishing number of weapons, Philip Rivers has a solid matchup in Week 5. Melvin Gordon returns, and even if he takes on the bulk of the rushing workload, Austin Ekeler will see plenty of targets in the passing game. None of the skill position players are worth starting outside of Rivers, Allen, Gordon, and Ekeler, but it will be worth watching to see if anybody else steps up.
