What to do with Kenyan Drake, Mark Walton in Week 7 fantasy football

The Dolphins created a running back committee in Week 6, and now we wonder what to make of Kenyan Drake and Mark Walton. We’ve got fantasy football start/sit advice for Week 7.

The Miami Dolphins are tanking for a high draft pick in 2020, and that has involved trading away any and all assets they can. The latest rumor has them talking to teams about running back Kenyan Drake. I don’t think anybody would be surprised to see them trade him by the October 29th trade deadline, but for the time being, he remains a Dolphin.

His fantasy value is officially in question however with the emergence of second-year running back Mark Walton. Last week, he got the start over Drake and had more touches in the first half. Drake took over in the second half and finished with more touches, but we officially have a conundrum heading into Week 7 when the Miami travels to face the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy football analysis, Dolphins QBs Kenyan Drake, Mark Walton

The Bills are currently giving up the 11th fewest fantasy points to running backs but rank 24th in run defense efficiency. The Bills are playing some solid football, but there is some intriguing value in this matchup. The real issue is what kind of timeshare we might see. Given that Drake got the bulk of the work in the second half, the safe bet would be on him over Walton. It’s a roll of the dice, but the Dolphins could make this one interesting. After all, how can you not be excited by a Ryan Fitzpatrick revenge game?

Start/Sit Recommendation

Kenyan Drake: Start in flex position in deeper leagues, sit in 8-, 10-team leagues
