Will Kirk miss his third straight game?

Christian Kirk injury status update, game day

The Arizona Cardinals are expected to be without wide receiver Christian Kirk once again, according to NFL Network Ian Rapoport. He was listed as limited all week with an ankle injury, and Rapoport is hearing he needs another week of rehab and recovery. In his absence, we’ve seen more of KeeSean Johnson. He’s not a fantasy start yet, but he’s showing some life as a regular target for Kyler Murray.

Ugh, what is it with the Arizona Cardinals and game-time decisions this week? Wide receiver Christian Kirk joins running back David Johnson on the list of the team’s top offensive playmakers languishing with that dreaded tag for Week 7.

Kirk missed his second straight game last week, despite some faint glimmer of hope that he would play. He’s been dealing with an ankle injury since limping off the field against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4. He was limited in practice all week, but at least he was practicing.

The second-year wideout had been productive through his first four games of the season. He’s caught 24 passes for 242 yards, which despite not having found the end zone yet, is still a solid return. The Cardinals need him.

Fantasy football analysis, Arizona Cardinals WR Christian Kirk

The worrisome thing for Kirk this week is that he is still not able to make his full cuts, which is pretty essential for a receiver to be at his best. If that’s the case, it doesn’t look like Kirk would suit up this week, despite being a game-time decision for the second week in a row. Keep you eye on the news. If he does play, this is a good matchup for him.

If he doesn’t play, it could be a productive week for the ageless Larry Fitzgerald.
