The Cincinnati Bengals ruled wide receiver A.J. Green out for Week 7, and that means we get another week of Tyler Boyd and Auden Tate starting. Alex Erickson will get work as the No. 3 receiver with John Ross still sidelined as well.
Last week, Tate led the team with 91 yards on five receptions. It was an off day for Boyd, who finished with two receptions for 13 yards. The surprise was Erickson, who broke out with four receptions for 47 yards and added a 17-yard rush. The Bengals ground game was abysmal, and his 17-yard carry led the team.
Fantasy football analysis, Bengals WRs Tyler Boyd, Auden Tate, Alex Erickson
This is a notable matchup for the wide receivers because they are facing the Jacksonville Jaguars in their first game since trading cornerback Jalen Ramsey to the Los Angeles Rams. Ramsey hasn’t played since Week 3, and the Jaguars defense has suffered.
Boyd has two poor performances in the team’s last three games, but he’s a strong start in PPR leagues and a potentially decent start in standard leagues. Tate is picking up steam and looks like a solid start in both PPR and standard leagues. Erickson is likely best suited for PPR leagues as no more than a flex.
Start/Sit Recommendation
Tyler Boyd: Start
Auden Tate: Start
Alex Erickson: Start as flex in deeper PPR leagues
