The Giants are struggling and Saquon Barkley briefly had to leave to get his ankle looked at. He returned trying to get something going in Week 7. We break it down.

The New York Giants are trailing the Arizona Cardinals at the start of the fourth quarter, and the Giants avoided a potential issue late in the third quarter. Running back Saquon Barkley had to leave the game briefly after appearing to aggravate his ankle injury. Barkley got more tape on his knee, and returned a few plays later.

Barkley is struggling along with the Giants offense, rushing 14 times for 45 yards and adding three receptions for eight yards. The Cardinals have done a good job containing the Giants offense on the whole. The game remains close however, so as long as Barkley does not create any issues to his ankle, he’s not leaving the game.

Wayne Gallman came in on place of Barkley and remains the key backup to own on the Giants roster if you need a handcuff for Barkley. For the time being however, Barkley is looking to be in good shape.
