The Atlanta Falcons are losing big to the Los Angeles Rams, and they’ve just suffered what could be a huge loss. Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald sacked quarterback Matt Ryan, and Ryan limped off the field. He has gone to the medical tent and backup quarterback Matt Schaub is getting ready to take over if needed, according to Vaughn McClure.

Ryan has since limped to the locker room, per Jason La Canfora. The Falcons just announced that Ryan will NOT return to the game due to an ankle injury.

Matt Schaub came on in place of Ryan and completed his first six passes for 65 yards and a touchdown pass to Austin Hooper. The Falcons season is an absolute disaster and they’ll fall to 1-6 once this game wraps with the Rams. One has to wonder how slow they take things with Ryan given how bad the team looks midway through the season.
