The Detroit Lions are engaged in a shootout with the Minnesota Vikings, and wide receiver Marvin Jones is having a monster performance. Jones just caught his fourth touchdown reception of the game. This is actually Jones’ second-career four touchdown performance. In 2013 while a member of the Cincinnati Bengals, he caught four in a 49-9 victory over the New York Jets.
Jones has had a relatively quiet season to date. His previous best performance came in Week 3 when he caught six passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. Today, he has 93 yards and ten receptions to go with the scores.
Danny Amendola had a solid effort on the day, finishing with eight receptions for 105 yards. Considering how solid the Vikings defense has been, this is an especially impressive performance for the Lions offense. They came up short in the shootout, but they are looking like a strong fantasy presence as this season nears the halfway point.
