The NFL has one last divisional matchup to wrap up Week 7, with the New York Jets hosting the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football. There’s plenty of fantasy football options involved in the game, and it will be an intriguing overall matchup with Sam Darnold back and looking solid in his return last week against the Cowboys.
We had some notable byes this past weekend, with Christian McCaffrey among the huge names on the sideline. Fantasy owners were also without Odell Beckham, Jr., Nick Chubb, Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, and plenty more notable names. This coming weekend brings us back to two teams on bye, but they’re big ones.
Each week we’ll take a look at the notable players you’ll need to replace each week over these nine weeks. This week’s byes include the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys. They don’t get much bigger from a fantasy perspective, so fantasy football decisions are going to get a lot more difficult.
Week 8 will see some huge names sidelined. Lamar Jackson has been the best option in fantasy football, while Dak Prescott has been a very solid option. At running back, Ezekiel Elliott and Mark Ingram have been two of the best. And we can remove one of the best tight ends in Mark Andrews. It’s going to make for some big decisions this coming weekend.
Here is a look at key players sidelined during Week 8.
