The NFL heads into Week 8 with two undefeated teams remaining in the standings. The New England Patriots pummeled the New York Jets on Monday Night Football, while the San Francisco 49ers won a sloppy game in the mud over Washington. The Patriots cruised as favorites, while the 49ers came up half a point short of the spread. Considering Washington got shut out, it’s impressive they still managed to cover!
The bottom of the standings remain the same, but the Miami Dolphins did manage to cover the spread for the second straight week. Ryan Fitzpatrick tried to get some revenge against his former team but came up short in the effort. Meanwhile, the Cincinnati Bengals remain winless and failed to cover in a 27-17 loss to Jacksonville.
As we head into Week 8, there will be plenty of information to consider in deciding how we want to wager on various games. There are some significant injuries, including Matt Ryan’s sprained ankle, Kerryon Johnson headed to injured reserve, and Adam Thielen’s hamstring injury.
