The Oakland Raiders travel to face the Houston Texans in Week 8, and wide receiver Tyrell Williams remains a question mark due to his foot injury. Head coach Jon Gruden spoke to the media on Monday and said Williams is questionable as of now, according to beat writer Scott Bair. Gruden said Williams did some running on Monday, and they’ll re-assess him as the week progresses.

Williams has not played since suffering a plantar fasciitis injury in Week 4. The team traded for Zay Jones, but he has yet to get into game action. This past week, tight end Darren Waller was the team’s leading pass catcher against the Green Bay Packers, by a long shot. He caught seven passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Keelan Doss was the leading wide receiver with three catches for 54 yards.

Fantasy football analysis, Raiders WR Tyrell Williams

Plantar fasciitis can be a tough injury to recover from, especially given the footwork needed by a wide receiver. It seems a good bet Williams sits another week to get closer to healthy. We might see Jones, but once again, Waller will be the big name to watch. The Texans have been fairly solid covering tight ends, but Waller is going to be a strong volume play without Williams — and is even worth flex consideration.
