The Minnesota Vikings will be without wide receiver Adam Thielen in Week 8 as he continues recovering from a hamstring injury. The team ruled him out for Thursday Night Football, and Kirk Cousins will be looking to other options in the passing game.

Stefon Diggs had the biggest day last week after Thielen’s injury, catching seven passes for 142 yards. Tight ends Irv Smith and Kyle Rudolph were next with ten receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown between the two of them. Rookie seventh round pick Bisi Johnson was next with four receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown.

Thielen seems on track to return in Week 9, but for at least this week, Johnson is worth a look. He’s only owned in 1.3 percent of leagues, and even if your waiver wire has already run, there’s a good chance he is still around.

Washington ranks 11th in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers. They’ll likely do what they can to blanket Diggs, and Johnson could find himself wide open. With Kirk Cousins likely looking to get some revenge against his former franchise, there could be a chance for running up the score in this one.

Johnson is worth a flex play, particularly in deeper leagues if you can snag him.
