What to do with Vikings team defense in Week 8 fantasy football

The Vikings have a great matchup in Week 8 on Thursday Night Football. Don’t question, just start when facing Washington in fantasy football.

The Minnesota Vikings won a huge game over the Detroit Lions in Week 7, and it was primarily due to their offense. The Vikings defense has been a solid performer this season, but Matthew Stafford has been on a roll and he almost managed to carry that one on his shoulders.

It’s easy to overlook the Vikings after that game, but in Week 8 they have a choice matchup against Washington. It’s been an ugly year for Washington all over the roster. They are 1-6 and only have the one win thanks to facing even worse Miami. Case Keenum is back in the lineup, and while he’s better than Colt McCoy, that’s not really saying much. Adrian Peterson is playing on a bum ankle and Chris Thompson and Vernon Davis are out. Washington could surprise us, but odds are good it won’t be pretty.

Start/Sit Recommendation: Vikings Defense/Special Teams

Washington’s offense has given up the fifth most fantasy points to opposing D/ST units. This is the kind of matchup where you start the Vikings and don’t overthink it.
