The Jacksonville Jaguars host the New York Jets in Week 8, and wide receiver Dede Westbrook will not be at 100 percent for the game. He injured his shoulder last week during practice and was a DNP last Thursday and limited on Friday. He was listed as questionable but played through it en route to six receptions for 103 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The big question will be whether or not Westbrook practices on Friday. If he’s at least limited, he’s likely close to a lock to play. If he is a DNP for a third straight day, he’d be a decent bet to sit out the game.
Fantasy football analysis, Jaguars WR Dede Westbrook
The Jaguars have a solid matchup this week against a shaky Jets defense. Gardner Minshew is struggling with consistent lately, but this is the kind of matchup that could get him back on track. If Westbrook plays, he — along with D.J. Chark — is a solid WR2 option for you.
Chris Conley would get more snaps if Westbrook does not play. He had three receptions on seven targets for 83 yards against Cincinnati, but had two receptions the previous three weeks combined. He’s too inconsistent to be an option for the time being.
