UPDATE: Case Keenum has been ruled out for the rest of the game.
Washington is hanging close with the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8 Thursday Night Football, but any upset is going to require a rookie upset. Quarterback Case Keenum left the game at halftime to be evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return. He completed 12 of 16 passes for 130 yards before the injury.
Dwayne Haskins took over to start Washington’s first drive of the third quarter. The offense went three and out and Haskins completed one of two passes for six yards.
This is Haskins’ second appearance of the season. In Week 4, he replaced an ineffective Keenum. Haskins was ineffective himself, throwing three interceptions and completing nine of 17 passes for 107 yards.
Fantasy football analysis, Case Keenum/Dwayne Haskins
Haskins has no re-draft fantasy value right now, but keeper and dynasty leagues will be paying attention. For single season leagues, the big question is what this means for Terry McLaurin. The rookie receiver has had a strong start to his career, but a rookie quarterback is a significant change to the equation.
