Point spread, total, moneyline and more for Broncos-Colts in Week 8

The Colts are on a roll of late and looking to build on their AFC South lead. The Broncos looked bad in Week 7 and are trying to get back on track. We break down the notable odds for this matchup, including point spread, betting trends, and records against the spread.

The Colts are surprising divisional leaders as the NFL nears the half-way mark. Despite the unexpected preseason retirement of Andrew Luck, the Colts lead the NFL in passing TDs and are 13th in passing DVOA. Their offensive line has kept Jacoby Brissett upright and helped Marlon Mack rush for the seventh-most yards per game this season. And their defense has been solid, though inconsistent – it held the Chiefs with a healthy Patrick Mahomes to just 13 points, but also allowed 30 to the Chargers and 31 to the Raiders. They’re only a half-game up in the most competitive division in the AFC.

Thing don’t look great for the Broncos, who just traded away Emmanuel Sanders for draft picks. But they’re only two games back in the Wild Card race, and they have one of the best defenses in the league. They’re not out of it yet.

The Broncos are better against the pass than the run, which should motivate the Colts to emphasize the ground game. Combine that with the Bronco’s general offensive ineffectiveness and this could be a good game to bet on a bunch of under props.
