The New Orleans Saints welcomed quarterback Drew Brees back to the starting lineup in Week 8, and he is bringing back some of that Brees efficiency in the early going. We’ll be keeping track of his numbers in his return to see how this offense looks after a solid run by Teddy Bridgewater.
Early in fourth quarter, Brees is 34 of 43 for 373 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. He was efficient but struggled to get into the end zone in the first half. However, he’s picked up steam in the second half. He found Latavius Murray for a 15-yard catch-and-run touchdown, and then found Taysom Hill in the end zone for a five-yard touchdown. He added a touchdown to Michael Thomas midway through the fourth quarter.
Michael Thomas continues his big performing ways, with 11 receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown. Latavius Murray is having himself a day with nine receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown to go with 102 rushing yards and another touchdown.
