We had an entertaining matchup on Week 8 Sunday Night Football, even without Patrick Mahomes. We break down the big performers.

The Green Bay Packers held off a strong effort from the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 8, beating them 31-24 on Sunday Night Football. Aaron Rodgers had another strong game, throwing for 305 yards and three touchdowns, and Aaron Jones had a monster receiving game to help the Packers improve to 7-1.

Jones was relatively quiet on the ground, rushing for 67 yards on 13 carries. He made his fantasy day through the air, catching a team leading seven passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Jones left with a shoulder injury in the second quarter, but returned early in the third quarter to finish out the game. He finished the game with the second highest performance on DraftKings heading into Monday Night Football.

The big surprise on the day was a strong effort from Chiefs quarterback Matt Moore. He was making his first start in place of an injured Patrick Mahomes, and he looked like he belonged. He threw for 267 yards and two touchdowns, and made some big throws to keep the game close. He finished 13th in DraftKing scoring among quarterbacks through Sunday night.

The Chiefs are downgraded with Moore playing over Mahomes, but he will keep them competitive while Mahomes gets healthy. Considering the Raiders lost to drop to 3-4, the Chiefs are in great position if they get Mahomes back on their optimistic timeline of the next couple weeks.

The Chiefs host Kirk Cousins, Dalvin Cook, and the Minnesota Vikings in Week 9, while the Packers travel to face Philip Rivers and the Los Angeles Chargers.
