The Nationals and Rays advanced out of their one-game playoffs. We have changes to World Series and LCS odds to consider, with one notable move.

The Washington Nationals and Tampa Bay Rays won their respective Wild Card round games this week, and have advanced to their league divisional series. The Nationals won a wild one 4-3 over the Milwaukee Brewers, securing a comeback win when Juan Soto hit a single that plated two runs and a third on an error. The Rays cruised to victory on the back of four home runs, beating the Oakland Athletics 5-1.

The Nationals will face the top-seeded Los Angeles Dodgers, starting Thursday at Dodger Stadium. The Rays will face the top-seeded Houston Astros, starting Friday at Minute Maid Park. The NLDS also features the Atlanta Braves holding home field advantage against the St. Louis Cardinals. The ALDS also includes the New York Yankees holding home field advantage against the Minnesota Twins.

The close of the Wild Card round means we have updated World Series and LCS odds. The Astros remain the favorites, but their odds moved ever slightly from +200 to +210. The Dodgers and Yankees remain at their pre-WC numbers. Naturally the Wild Card winners saw significant improvements in their World Series odds, but they are still long shots.

Here’s a look at the odds for the World Series, showing their pre and post Wild Card round numbers. All odds courtesy of DraftKings.
