Houston Texans quarterback DeShaun Watson suffered a nasty eye injury in Week 8, getting kicked in the face while throwing a touchdown pass. He finished the game and is expected to be good to go for Week 9, but he will miss out on a fun opportunity.

Watson was scheduled to give the honorary pre-game “Play Ball” call at Game 7 of the World Series Wednesday evening. A minor setback in his eye is going to require him to rest it out and keep it out of the lights, according to beat writer John McClain.

McClain tweeted that Watson is still good to play in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Texans will release their first injury report Wednesday afternoon, but even if he is a DNP or limited, don’t worry about it at this point.

Fantasy football analysis: Texans QB DeShaun Watson

It’s been a heck of a year for Watson, currently ranked first in total fantasy points and second in points per game. He faces a Jaguars defense that ranks 16th in fantasy points allowed. He is a must start every week, so there is no need to overthink this. The injury report will be worth tracking to see if any more setbacks occur, but you should be good to go with Watson.
