How to handle Jarvis Landry’s injury in Week 5 fantasy football

Is Landry going to play this week, and if he does, what can you expect from him?

Jarvis Landry’s 167-yard outing last week no doubt has fantasy owners salivating at the possibility of getting him in their lineups. However, before his big day was over, he had to leave the game with a concussion, putting him in the league protocol and leaving his status for Week 5 in question.

Well, good news. Landry has cleared the concussion protocol and returned to practice. That’s a positive sign that the Cleveland Browns slot receiver will be suited up and ready to go for Monday night’s game against the 49ers.

That was Landry’s breakout game this season, putting him over 300 yards for the year. He still hasn’t scored a touchdown, so he’s due.

The Browns were never going to live up the offseason hype surrounding them, but they seemed to find some offensive stability in a huge win last week over the Ravens. Landy’s 167 yards were part of a 40-point explosion that teased just what kind of numbers this offense is capable of producing when it’s firing on all cylinders.

Fantasy football analysis, Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry

Landry belongs in your lineups this week. He might not be your best receiver, but the potential for a big game is just too much to ignore. At $5,500 in DK leagues, he’s worth your time there too.
