A.J. Green injury update 10/11, 1:32 p.m.

A.J. Green did practice in limited fashion this week, but it was described as “very limited.” The team has him ruled out for Sunday vs. the Baltimore Ravens. Tyler Boyd and Auden Tate will get the start for quarterback Andy Dalton.

The Cincinnati Bengals waste any time ruling wide receiver A.J. Green out for their Week 6 road trip to Baltimore, per Pro Football Talk. Green injured his ankle at the start of training camp, and has been sidelined following surgery to repair a ligament tear. He is out of a walking boot, and has begun running, but has yet to return to practice.

Green will miss six games after this coming weekend, and there is no indication on when he might return. He is a free agent after the season, and given how much the team has struggled, he could eventually decide to pack it in for the season.

Fantasy football analysis, Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green

Tyler Boyd and John Ross emerged in Green’s absence. Ross has since ended up on injured reserve with a shoulder injury and Auden Tate is getting some opportunities opposite Boyd. Add in Tyler Eifert and Joe Mixon as the main options on offense and things are not pretty for the Bengals.

If you have Green on your roster, you can’t really unload him at this point. You’re left with an albatross on your roster and not much you can do. Normally I’d recommend not selling low, but it is fast approaching that time if your fantasy playoffs hang in the balance.
