The Green Bay Packers face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9, and there is a chance they get wide receiver Davante Adams back. Adams has been dealing with a turf toe injury since Week 4, but he has been upgraded in practice this week. Adams had been sitting out practices prior to this week, but he got in three limited sessions in Week 9. He is officially listed as questionable, a week removed from being doubtful.
Fantasy football analysis: Packers WR Davante Adams
If Adams plays, he’s a must start every week. However, the Packers are playing at 4:25 p.m., so we won’t know his status for sure until 2:55 p.m. More than likely Adam Schefter or Ian Rapoport will have an early morning report on Sunday, but you have to be prepared to sweat this one out.
If Adams does play, it downgrades Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison due to the decrease in available targets. The Chargers have been a solid enough defense, holding wide receivers to the eighth fewest fantasy points. If Adams sits, MVS and Allison are not great starts. Aaron Jones has emerged as a big option in the passing game, while it has been a mixed bag for all the non-Adams receivers.
