The Miami Dolphins are coming off their first win, but even their victories can’t be fully enjoyed. A day after the win, the Dolphins learned that running back Mark Walton would be sidelined with a four-game suspension.
A week prior to this news, the Dolphins traded away Kenyan Drake for a draft pick and inserted Walton as their starting running back. Walton started in Week 9 and had 12 rushes for 29 yards and three receptions on four targets for 12 yards. It wasn’t much given how nad the Dolphins are, but he was at least the starter.
Fantasy football analysis: Dolphins RB Kalen Ballage
Kalen Ballage takes over as the starter. He was expected to push Kenyan Drake for some time, but fell behind Walton on the depth chart. Now, the war of attrition leaves Ballage as the guy. Myles Gaskin and Patrick Laird will see some work as well, but Ballage is likely to be the guy — as much as someone can be the guy in this offense.
If you’re looking for a last minute option, Ballage is the only one with any kind of value. He’s not worth starting in most leagues, but if you’re desperate, he’s at least going to get touches.
Start/Sit Recommendation
Kalen Ballage: Sit unless you’re reeeeeally short-handed.
