Amari Cooper game status update

The Cowboys wide receiver is ACTIVE after being questionable with a knee injury. He is a solid start against the Vikings. His active status downgrades Randall Cobb’s fantasy value in Week 10.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper has a bruised knee. It happened last week during the team’s practice, and it flared up again during Dallas’ Week 9 win over the New York Giants. Officially, Cooper is listed as questionable for the Cowboys’ Week 10 game against the visiting Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football.

The good news for the Cowboys and fantasy players alike is that Cooper is expected to play this week. However, with a nagging injury, the question is just how effective he can be in this game.

Cooper had a pretty solid outing last week despite the injury, catching four passes for 80 yards and scoring a touchdown against the Giants. He has posted 80 yards or more in five of the eight games the team has played so far this season, and despite being a fairly regular presence on the injury report, Cooper has not missed a game (though he did leave early against the Jets in Week 6).

Fantasy football analysis, Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper

Cooper has been especially productive at home, collecting all three of his triple-digit yardage efforts in front of the friendly crowds at AT&T Stadium. He has a good matchup this week too against the Vikings.

Michael Gallup, who scored last week too, was not on the injury report, and he could be in line for more work if the Vikings tend to focus on Cooper or if the injury does limit the Cowboys No. 1 receiver. Randall Cobb, the third receiver, hasn’t done much to warrant your fantasy attention.
