How to handle Delanie Walker’s injury in Week 10 fantasy football

No Walker for the Titans this week. Should you consider Jonnu Smith instead?

Not only will the Tennessee Titans be without wide receiver Corey Davis this week when they host the Kansas City Chiefs, they will also not have the services of veteran tight end Delanie Walker for the game.

This is the third week in a row that Walker will miss the action with his team. An ankle injury is keeping him out of action. He is at least one step closer to making his return, after he was able to go without a walking boot this week. The Titans have a bye in Week 11, which gives Walker an extra week to rest his ankle, and it he be ready to return when the team resumes play in Week 12 with a game against the Jaguars.

During Walker’s absence, backup tight end Jonnu Smith has done quite well for himself and his fantasy owners.

So with Walker out of the picture, the big question this week is whether or not to start Smith. The answer is yes.

Smith had a down game last week, with just 18 yards, but he was still targeted five times in that game. The week before that he had 78 yards and a touchdown, and three weeks ago, he had 64 yards on three catches. The Titans find a way to get him the ball, and you should too.
