This week’s injury report is not an especially long one, thanks in part to a bunch of players who have been mainstays here getting bumped to injured reserve or finally returning from injury (hi, Patrick Mahomes). But there are some important names on here for fantasy football planning reasons, so pay attention.
Let’s start with the quarterbacks because that’s a big one this week. Despite the questionable listing, the Ravens are expected to have Lamar Jackson on the field this week, and he ought to ball out against the Bengals. Jacoby Brissett was ruled out by the Colts on Saturday afternoon. Brian Hoyer will start in his place against the Dolphins, and isn’t the worst option for rosters this week. Stafford is shaping up to be a true game-time decision, so keep an eye on the NFL insiders Sunday morning to see if there’s any early word.
The Steelers are without running backs James Conner and Benny Snell this week, which means Jaylen Samuels should be on your fantasy radar, if not your roster.
Not only will the Colts be without Brissett, their top two receivers are out this week too—Parris Campbell and T.Y. Hilton. Speaking of receivers, Brandin Cooks is out, and so is Adam Thielen.
As always, keep checking the news on Sunday morning to see about final status for players.
