The New York Giants have dealt with a host of injuries at their skill position players this season, and all this comes after the decision to trade Odell Beckham Jr. They’re getting at least one answer in the short term. Rookie wide receiver Darius Slayton is rolling in Week 10 with three receptions for 52 yards and two touchdowns.
UPDATE: Midway through the third quarter, Slayton has eight receptions for 101 yards and the two touchdowns. Golden Tate has three receptions for 82 yards and two touchdowns of his own.
Slayton has seen an uptick in his workload while Sterling Shepard has been sidelined with a concussion. Golden Tate has been the Giants No. 1 receiver, but Slayton is proving himself an effective complement. He only had one reception for six yards last week, but two weeks ago he had a two touchdown performance. Today makes his third game with at least one score.
