In a stunning turn of events, Week 10 revealed that tight end O.J. Howard is in fact still playing football.
It would be understandable if fantasy football owners were doubtful that was in fact the case. Howard has four receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and has given the team a 17-13 halftime lead over the Arizona Cardinals.
The touchdown is Howard’s first score of the season under head coach Bruce Arians. The four receptions match his season high, and his 47 yards are only 19 yards short of a season high.
Bruce Arians has never been great for fantasy tight ends, and he brought his bad luck to Howard a season after it looked like he was ready to break out in a huge way. He’s been arguably the biggest fantasy bust at the tight end position. It’s been a solid start for him to the game, but until we see the second half and really some improvement across multiple games, it’s hard for fantasy owners to get too excited about this.
