UPDATE: The Falcons have ruled out Freeman for the rest of Week 10 with an ankle injury. Brian Hill will be the lead back the rest of the game.
The Atlanta Falcons have lost running back Devonta Freeman to a foot injury in the third quarter against the New Orleans Saints. He is officially questionable to return and has been replaced by Brian Hill as the team’s lead back in Week 10.
Freeman had ten rushes for 38 yards and three receptions for ten yards before the injury. Brian Hill has replaced him as the team’s starting running back and now has six rushes for 16 yards. Kenjon Barner has one rush for 12 yards.
If Freeman misses any time, Hill will be the guy to grab off waivers. He’d not really have been a great handcuff in a shaky Falcons offense, but he would get some solid volume knowing he’d be in the starting lineup.
