David Johnson struggles in return to action

It was an ugly Week 10 for David Johnson. Fantasy owners have some things to figure out.

The Arizona Cardinals lost a close on to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 10, and they couldn’t get much of anything going on the ground. Kyler Murray led the team with 38 rushing yards, which sums it up. Kenyan Drake had ten rushes for 35 yards while David Johnson made his return to action and rushed five times for two yards with a lost fumble. Johnson added one catch for ten yards, while Drake had six receptions for six yards.

The Cardinals acquired Drake from the Miami Dolphins prior to their Week 19 Thursday Night Football game against the 49ers, and he impressed. He rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown and added a team-high four receptions for 52 yards.

Johnson was returning from an ankle injury and just could not get anything going. He is not at 100 percent right now, and it showed in the effort.

Fantasy football analysis: Cardinals running backs

Drake is the better of the two backs right now, but it’s a messy situation that will only get messier when Chase Edmonds returns. Barring additional injuries, you’re best suited staying away from this backfield while uncertainty reigns. Don’t release your Cardinals running backs, but they’re better suited on the bench for the time being.
