The Cincinnati Bengals entered 2019 with modest expectations, but figured they could be competitive in the AFC North. Things went south in a hurry when A.J. Green tore ligaments in his ankle at the start of training camp, and they have not turned around.
The Bengals have been the worst team in football, and it’s been difficult for fantasy options to develop. The passing game has had some upside as the team plays from behind, but running back Joe Mixon has struggled to get going. He’s been mostly healthy, but he has not come close to matching his monster 2018 numbers. Expectations were high for a back who averaging 4.9 yards per carry and finished fourth on the team in receptions.
He has shown some value for stretches this season, but it has been inconsistent at best. Nonetheless, we’ll follow along throughout the season, breaking down his traditional and daily fantasy performances, prices, injury news, and more.
