Josh Gordon has modest debut for Seahawks in Week 10

Josh Gordon debuted for the Seahawks in Week 10 and had some solid catches in a relatively quiet night. We break down the fantasy football stats as Seattle heads into their bye.

Wide receiver Josh Gordon made his debut with the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10, and it was a relatively quiet night on Monday Night Football. Gordon was targeted twice by Russell Wilson and caught both for 27 yards.

Late in the game, it looked like Gordon might get a bigger opportunity. Tyler Lockett suffered a lower leg injury and was announced as questionable to return in overtime. It seemed like a time we’d see more of Gordon, but instead, Malik Turner, Jacob Hollister, and Chris Carson were among those who picked up the receiving slack alongside DK Metcalf.

Gordon is still learning the playbook, so it’s not surprising he had a relatively limited workload. Wilson did look to him late, so that hopefully bodes well for their chemistry moving forward.

The Seahawks head into a bye this coming week and then face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football in Week 12. That gives Gordon time to learn more of the playbook and continue building a rapport with Wilson. We’ll also see what happens with Lockett and his leg injury since that will impact Gordon’s opportunities.
