Top 25 quarterback rankings for Week 11 fantasy football

We take you through some of the best quarterbacks going in Week 11 for fantasy football, including a few viable streamers.

UPDATE

I’m a little worried about Deshaun Watson in this matchup against the Ravens healthy secondary. Not enough to drop him out of the Top-5, but dropping him to QB5 is a big drop for me.

I haven’t moved the quarterbacks around much in this update. Matt Ryan gets a slight drop with James Bradberry looking healthy but he’s still a must-start in yearly leagues.

There are five games with an over/under above 49 points in Week 11. That means there are ten quarterbacks in games where they will likely throw the ball enough to accumulate useful fantasy points. And yes, that does include Ryan Finley.

Picking the right quarterback is always easier said than done, but don’t be afraid of throwing caution to the wind in games with good game script. Look at Daniel Jones, who has a QB1 and QB2 finish in fantasy over his last three games despite looking mediocre.

Bye Weeks

Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans

QBs on bye: Aaron Rodgers, Daniel Jones, Russell Wilson, Ryan Tannehill

Injury/Status Report

Jacoby Brissett: Frank Reich says that Brissett will start if he can practice in full on Wednesday. Brian Hoyer was awful last week, and if Brissett can’t go, there is a chance Chad Kelly could draw the start.

Matthew Stafford: Matt Patricia says Stafford is “truly day by day, week to week” whatever that means. For now, we should consider him out with a fractured spine. Jeff Driskel would get another start in that case.

Dwayne Haskins: Bill Callahan announced that Dwayne Haskins would take over the starting job from Case Keenum for the rest of the season.

Drew Lock: Lock will return to practice this week. Brandon Allen played well in Week 9, so he could keep the job, but the Broncos will want to see their second-round pick out there at some point.

QB Ranking Tiers

Tier 1

Lamar Jackson might have broken the league, at least for the time being. He is doing things no other quarterback has done with as much consistency, and this week he’s at home against a weak Texans pass defense. Patrick Mahomes is still amazing, and I find it hard to believe that anyone can beat him out for the No. 1 spot, but there’s no doubt in my mind that Jackson is the best play again this week.

Drew Brees put up a dud in a great matchup at home last week, which was surprising, but he gets yet another great matchup this week to make up for it. Dak Prescott has more upside than Brees at this point and gets a good matchup in a dome. The battle between Deshaun Watson and Jackson should push Watson’s numbers up, making for a solid Top-3 this week.

Tier 2

Jameis Winston continues to throw the ball to the other team, but he has such good receivers and a mediocre defense that he accumulates plenty of fantasy points week in and week out. That’s likely valid this week as well, as he takes on a Saints defense without Marshon Lattimore.

After three games without a rushing touchdown, Josh Allen has put up three in his last two matchups. He’s only thrown one touchdown in those two games, but rushing touchdowns are so valuable that it doesn’t matter much. This week he faces a weak Dolphins defense, which he scored 21 fantasy points against earlier in the season.

QB Streamers

Kyle Allen hasn’t been very good overall, but he has so many weapons that he’s able to keep from causing too much damage, and this week he gets a poor Falcons pass defense at home.

Derek Carr takes on a Bengals defense that was embarrassed by Lamar Jackson last week and has been embarrassing all season.
