UPDATE
I’ve dropped DeAndre Hopkins due to the Ravens cornerbacks health. He’s still a must start, but his upside should be capped.
D.J. Moore keeps inching up my rankings. His lack of touchdowns have kept the hype subdued but he’s have a strong season and now gets a smash matchup.
Marquise Brown is boom or bust but I expect this week he’s more boom than bust, so he gets a bump.
Allen Robinson gets a bump downwards with his matchup with Jalen Ramsey. If Mitch Trubisky wasn’t throwing it, I’d feel better, but alas.
Welcome to Week 11. We’re missing some old friends from our teams, but they’ll come back and hopefully refreshed and ready for the stretch run. We have four teams on bye this week and then four more in Week 12 and then it’s smooth sailing the rest of the way into your fantasy championships, which you will win easily.
Bye Weeks
Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans
WRs on bye: Davante Adams, Golden Tate, Darius Slayton, Tyler Lockett, D.K. Metcalf, A.J. Brown
Injury/Status Report
Emmanuel Sanders: Sanders left MNF early with a rib injury and will get an MRI to gauge the extent. Deebo Samuel stepped up in his place against Seattle.
Brandin Cooks: Cooks won’t play in Week 11 due to his concussion. This news comes early in the week and might portend more missed games moving forward.
Devin Funchess: Funchess appears to be ready to return to practice this week. He likely wouldn’t see a significant workload if he ends up playing.
T.Y. Hilton: Right now, it looks like Hilton will have a tough time playing this week against Jacksonville.
A.J. Green: Green is still considered day-to-day with his knee injury, but after he had swelling in that same knee last week, his prospects don’t seem good for a return to an 0-9 team.
Will Fuller: Fuller returned to his first practice since Week 7. We’ll see how much he practices this week before deeming him ready to go.
Dede Westbrook: After getting the bye week to heal, Westbrook returned to practice. If all goes well, he should play against the Colts.
Marcus Lattimore: Lattimore’s hamstring injury is considered week-to-week, so we shouldn’t expect him to play against the Buccaneers. If that comes true, Mike Evans will have an easier matchup.
James Bradberry/Donte Jackson: The Panthers cornerbacks are hurting and will have trouble getting to 100 percent this week if they play. Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley would benefit.
WR Ranking Tiers
Tier 1
Michael Thomas has only one game where he didn’t catch at least eight passes, which means he has eight or more receptions in eight games this season. With his ability and consistent targets, he’s always the safest play each week. Deandre Hopkins has 11 or more targets in his last four games. The Ravens aren’t the greatest matchup, but he is super safe in PPR leagues due to his usage. Julio Jones might get to take on the Panthers without their top two cornerbacks this week. If they are out entirely, Jones gets a nice bump, but their injuries aren’t going to help them cover Jones. Julian Edelman gets his easiest matchup in a few weeks and should be able to dog walk their secondary.
Tier 2
D.J. Moore is on the cusp of a Tier 1 slot this week against the Falcons. He’s seen an average of ten targets a game over his last four and has back-to-back 100 yard affairs. His touchdown numbers are lacking, but the Falcons are super bad at stopping the pass, and with a hurting secondary, this game could put up big points.
Tier 2 is fraught with tough matchups, but I can’t see Cooper Kupp going catch-less against the Bears, and Kenny Golladay is too good to knock too far down, even if Driskel starts again. Stefon Diggs will have a tough matchup against Chris Harris if Adam Thielen is out still, but his usage should get back up after two down games.
WR Streamers
Mohamed Sanu had a crazy 14 targets with his new team last week, and that doesn’t happen with new Patriot receivers. I think Brady and Belichick are smitten.
If Emmanuel Sanders can’t go against the Cardinals, Deebo Samuel gets a boost, especially after how he played with Sanders out on MNF.
Demaryius Thomas has a low ceiling compared to his workload, but his consistency is worth using against Washington if you need bye-week help.
