Alshon Jeffery day-to-day with ankle injury

Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery is dealing with an ankle injury that could leave them incredibly shorthanded. We break down what it means for fantasy football.

The Philadelphia Eagles return to practice on Wednesday to get ready for Week 11, and wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is day-to-day with an ankle injury, according to beat writer Elliot Shorr-Parks. Jeffery injured it in Week 9 against the Chicago Bears, and appears to not be fully recovered after the Eagles bye.

The Eagles signed Jordan Matthews over the bye after placing DeSean Jackson on injured reserve. If Jeffery missed any time, the Eagles receiver depth chart would include Matthews, Nelson Agholor, Mack Hollins, and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside.

Fantasy football analysis: Eagles wide receivers

Agholor offers the most upside of the Eagles receivers, having scored three touchdowns over the course of Weeks 2 and 3. However, his drops are problematic. If Jeffery sits in Week 11, Matthews offers some value if you’re shorthanded due to injuries or byes, but he would be a low ceiling option.

The Eagles have two more practices this week, but it looks like Jeffery could end up a game-time decision against the Patriots in Week 11.
