What to do with Mason Rudolph in Week 11 fantasy football

The Steelers remain in the playoff picture, but that’s not because Mason Rudolph is lighting up the scoreboard. We break down how to approach Pittsburgh’s QB vs. the Browns.

Mason Rudolph is no Ben Roethlisberger. You already knew that though being as you’ve been forced to watch the former OK State QB operate for about eight weeks now. Rudolph has failed to crack 20 fantasy points in each of his starts this season in place of Big Ben. He hasn’t built up much of a report with any of the Steelers’ WRs, particularly former college teammate James Washington. JuJu Smith-Schuster has become an inconsistent option because of Rudolph. Really the only offensive players who have benefitted lie in the run game. With James Conner (shoulder) looking set to return, we can expect Pittsburgh to lean heavily on the run again Thursday night vs. the Browns.

Fantasy Football Analysis, Pittsburgh Steelers QB Mason Rudolph

I feel like this is the week Thursday Night Football reverts back to the dumpster. The past two weeks we’ve gotten pretty good games between the Chargers and Raiders and Cardinals and 49ers, so Steelers-Browns will definitely be a snoozefest. Like I mentioned above, Conner appears ready to return and Jaylen Samuels looked good replacing him a few weeks back. Cleveland has a decent secondary and doesn’t allow much in the passing game, so it’s hard to view Rudolph being successful on a short week. Defense and RBs in this one, guys.
