The AFC North gets the spotlight to open Week 10 on Thursday Night Football with the Cleveland Browns hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Browns are 3-6 while the Steelers are 5-4. It’s a must-win for the Browns to remain remotely alive in the playoff race, and would be a big road win for a Steelers team looking to hang around the playoff race.
The Steelers will welcome back running back James Conner, who missed two games with a separated shoulder. He replaces Jaylen Samuels as the starting running back, although Samuels will remain busy in the passing game. Browns tight end Ricky Seals-Jones is a question mark heading into the game, but stands a decent chance of playing.
This game has the second lowest point total for Week 11, which suggests it could end up a defensive battle. Both quarterbacks bring plenty of question marks into this game, which makes some start/sit decisions a little more difficult. Nick Chubb and James Conner are must starts, and Odell Beckham Jr. remains there even amidst weekly inconsistency. After that, most options are questionable.
Matchups are key, but it helps to see what the analytics are saying about potential performances. Looking at ESPN fantasy projections for season-long leagues (1/2 PPR setting), Kareem Hunt shows up with a potentially prominent role following his suspension. The big question for Pittsburgh is what kind of role Jaylen Samuels has. He likely remains a decent PPR start, but bench him in standard leagues.
This should be a physical, defensive battle, but still potentially fun given the nature of the rivalry. I think the Steelers have the edge, but it will likely come down to the wire regardless. Here are Week 11 TNF projections to help you further improve your fantasy chances!
