What to do with Steelers D/ST on Thursday Night Football

The Steelers D/ST has been the one fantasy constant from Pittsburgh. Will they keep up their dominant play in Cleveland on Thursday night?

After Ben Roethlisberger went down with an elbow injury in Week 2, the Steelers had little hope of winning games. Fast forward nine weeks later, and they are in the playoff hunt due to their dominant defense. That domination has rolled over into fantasy points, as their D/ST ranks third in fantasy points and haven’t dipped below 13 in a game since Week 3 when they had eight against the 49ers.

Fantasy football analysis: Pittsburgh Steelers D/ST

In Week 11, Pittsburgh’s defense travels to Cleveland to take on their division rival, the Browns. Cleveland’s quarterback, Baker Mayfield, has given up the ball to the other team often this season. So far, he has thrown 12 interceptions to just nine touchdown passes. He has played better of late, though, as he has three touchdowns to no interceptions in his last two games. Those games came against two excellent pass defenses in Denver and at home against Buffalo.

Cleveland ranks 21st in adjusted sack rate allowed while the Steelers rank second in adjusted sack rate. Their defensive line is the force behind their defense, and they get a good matchup this week. The Steelers also rank second in turnover margin per game with +1.4 while the Browns rank 28th with a margin of -.9 per game.

Even with some improved play from Mayfield, the Steelers have played too well to knock down your fantasy rankings this week.
